They recognize RoC because they have no reason not to. The only reason Republic of Cyprus is not functioning as it should it is because you illegally occupy 1/3rd of it.

On the other hand they do not recognize the "trnc" because it is an illegal entity created on stolen land by means of murder and ethnic cleansing, within the territory of Republic of Cyprus.

Resolution 750 (April 1992) (which has been reaffirmed annually since then)-

“Reaffirms the position set out in resolutions 649 (1990) of March 12 1990 and 716 (1991) October 11 1991 that a Cyprus settlement must be based on a State of Cyprus with a single sovereignty and international personality and a single citizenship, with its independence and territorial integrity safeguarded, and comprising two politically equal communities as defined in Paragraph 11 of Secretary-General’s report in a bi-communal and bi-zonal federation, and that such a settlement must exclude union in whole or in part with any other country or any form of partition or secession;”

Thanks for the quote. Have you noticed that your community has been in a clear violation of this resolution for the last 16 years?

this is an excellent point that keeps getting made. My TC friends keep quoting parts of UN resolutions and the ROC constitution to prove some of their points without consideration to the huge contradictions they are making.

Even if i was an indepedant bystander I'd consider this schizophrenic to say the least.

Beyond that the only thing that you proved is that due to your crimes and illegalities you do not allow RoC to exercise its sovereignty over the island and function as it should. Thanks for proving for once more what we knew already.

I know they did. They recognized a RoC that has nothing to do with how it should be either according to the U.N. or the Agreements between our leaders; simple. They recognized it just as they recognized slavery until the 20th century although it was unethical and ilegitimate (but legal). That is hypocracy in violation of their own guidelines to serve their political interests. Laws and politics are made by people, yet legitimacy and righteousness are universal. Eventually the ladder will supersede.

Recognition-derecognition comes from the United Nations. Why have you never applied? Come on you can even do it right now.
