Friendliness - or not?

Postby Dadalushe » Tue Jun 12, 2007 12:46 pm

For some reason this forum seems to be a rather cold, unfriendly place to be. It's actually making us think twice about moving to Cyprus, even though we are now beyond the point of no return and will be there early next year at the latest. Seems odd when Cyprus itself is such a warm hospitable place. We therefore feel it advisable to avoid this place from now on. Bye all.

PS RE Madeleine - I agree wholeheartedly with Highlander's sentiments.

Hi Dadalushe

I'm new to the forum, but generally believe most people are genuine, there is a lot of leg pulling and tongue in cheek comments, I think the best policy is to go with flow and try and wind them up first.
Having said that I'm surprised no one has replied to your thread yet, let me be the first to say there's good'n'bad in all walks in life and I hope you reconsider your decision to leave the forum for ever. What exactly happened to make you consider this course of action?

It's a Forum...

It's a place for people to get things off their back, moan about thier partners, the state of the country/world.

Make friends - but - maybe never meet them.

There is a lot more going on that you or anyone knows about i.e:-

PM's - emails - phone calls - meetings - dinners - BBQ's (1 soon) - business deals --- need I go on???

My advice. If you come to Cyprus with your eyes closed, you will leave with a empty wallet!!!

Use the forum as you wish, BUT enjoy ALL that Cyprus has do offer --- We do...

Very well said Stuart!

The forum changes all the time. At times there are many good emotions and at times bad. There is a great deal of sentimentality between members that you get to know and fantastic humour.

I do believe however you have hit the forum at a particularly 'dry patch' when not a lot seems to be happening. Stick with it!

I have't counted but I suspect nearly half the people who post here do not live in Cyprus, so look on the bright side - if you move here you will never meet them :-)
