Gardening advice please

Postby skyvet » Mon Jun 11, 2007 8:01 pm

I have an orange tree planted in a large pot, and for the second year running I have lost all the fruit. Once they reach about the size of a walnut they simply drop off! I suspect that I may be watering it incorrectly, so can anyone please advise me as to the correct amount to give it?
Thanks guys

Pots are not right for citrus. Its ok only temporarily. Too much watering could be the reason. The soil needs to be well drained.

Thanks for the advice - sadly I do not have any "proper garden" and have to use pots all the time. The pot that the orange tree is in is really large, but I'll try cutting down on the watering and see what happens next year.
Will also try your suggestion Karma - are you related to Prince Charles by any chance??
