Apologies for my less than spontaneous reaction, No 1 son turned up from the Cook Islands emptied the fridge monopolised my PC and is now chilling as he puts it after the 'stress' of living and working on a Pacific island for a couple of months 8)

No I'm not Gay, but as I've never tried it due in part either to a lack of imagination, opportunity or an awful fear of haemorroids drilled into me by perhaps an over protective mother I wont knock those who find happiness that way

Good luck with your Pan European tour and eventual landing in Cyprus, enjoy yourself.

I love animals! I had a horse until I was 15yrs old, he had a tumour surrounding his heart, he was 8yrs old and had to be put down, such a lovely boy and had a habit for kicking annoying men (horses learn good tricks  )

I also had a cat for 14yrs, he was lovely and I had him from a kitten, I was heart broken when he was put down (cancer, I may have to stop keeping animals, it's like doomsday for them!).

To me, they are part of your family, you have a heart and care!

Colmax I know how you and your wife feel about losing a pet. We lost one of our dogs Ellie a year ago, she was beautiful and a huge part of our family and our life. Then two weeks ago (a year after losing Ellie) Ellies Mom Lucy had a stroke. Driving to the vets was awful, we were reliving 12 months previous. Lucy has been very poorly, but this week when you look in her eyes you can see Lucy is back. She is a bit wobbly, but so much better and we still have her.

Dee, your right, we have not had a pet since to avoid going through the pain again, but we have decided, once we come to Cyprus we will be going to the local shelter and giving a dog or two a good home, reading some of the threads on the forum it would appear there is no shortage of animals needing looking after. I know Karma pulled my leg about the starving children in Africa and that people should be put 1st and of course that is right and proper, but i believe there is eneough compassion in the world for all, i could not walk past a starving animal as much as i could not walk past a starving child.
