How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

TALAT SPEAKS TO ANATOLIAN NEWS AGENCY ON THE IMMOVABLE PROPERTY COMMISSION:

President Mehmet Ali Talat has said that the immovable property commission in North Cyprus will take faster, more effective and decisive decisions than the European Court of Human Rights.

He said that the Greek Cypriot Administration was resorting to threats, pressure and isolating methods to discourage its citizens from applying to the immovable property commission in the North. on the Property issue.

The President evaluated the latest developments on the property dispute to the Anatolian News Agency.
Speaking to the News Agency, the President said that they had set up the immovable property commission with the aim of creating a domestic remedy for property issues adding that this commission has been recognized as such by the European Court of Human Rights.

The President also drew attention to the fact that the Greek Cypriot Administration was still pursuing a campaign reminiscent of the inquisition era.

Also touching upon the leaking of the names of Greek Cypriot applicants to the Greek Cypriot Press, the President expressed his firm belief that the highly confidential information was obtained through espionage activities within the commission.

Pointing out that the property issue would not be discussed today had there been a comprehensive settlement reached on the island, the President reminded that the Greek Cypriot Leader Tasos Papadopoulos had prevented a solution to the Cyprus Problem and the property dispute by encouraging his citizens to vote against the UN sponsored Annan Plan.

PRIME MINISTER SOYER SAYS INVESTIGATION UNDER WAY TO UNDERCOVER WHO LEAKED NAMES TO GREEK CYPRIOT PRESS.
Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soyer has announced that an investigation is underway to undercover who leaked the names of Greek Cypriot citizens whom applied to the Immovable Property Commission in the North to the Greek Cypriot press.

Describing the incident as an act of sabotage the Prime Minister said that the perpetrators who handed over the list of names to the Greek Cypriot side had violated the human rights of the claimants.
Speaking on the BRTK’s Aktuel Program, Prime Minister Soyer said all institutions involved within the Immovable Property Commission were currently under investigation.

He said that act had been intentionally done to harm the workings of the commission’.

Pointing to the important timing of the names being released to the Greek Cypriot Press, Prime Minister Soyer said ‘the Greek Cypriot side had been shocked with the European Court of Human rights ruling which authorized an exchange of immovable property between Greek and Turkish Cypriots in Cyprus through the immovable property commission in the north.’

Also drawing attention to the Greek Cypriot side’s displeasure with the latest decision regarding the Arestis case, Prime Minister Soyer said that the Greek Cypriot side had hoped that the Arestis case and the remaining 1400 cases brought to the European Court of human rights on the property issue would force Turkey to pay millions of dollars worth of compensation, ruin the TRNC economy and by carrying the property issue to the courts would in turn block the Cyprus negotiations process.

‘The Turkish Cypriot side by following smart political policies has spoiled the Greek Cypriot sides plan,’ he added.

Stressing that the Greek Cypriot side is violating the human rights of its own citizens by preventing them from applying to the immovable property commission in the TRNC, the Prime Minister said the Greek Cypriot Administration’s stance over the issue is absolutely unacceptable.

He concluded by saying that a great duty fell upon NGOs and civil societies in North Cyprus to unveil the true face of the Greek Cypriot Administration -. to the world.

I consider the people that may have gone to this commission mis-giuded fools, however i would not brand anyone a traitor. I don't think anyone is in a position to sell their patriotism over others. I for one however will never apply to this muppet commission and will never allow myself to recognise or acknowledge anything that has to do with that anomaly.

Build what you like on my land in morphou, i'll only knock it down later.

Just keep talking this shit, you may get some poor miserable fool beleive you if you say it enough times.

Bottom line, TRNC, Property commission are both illegal entities in the eyes of international law. Wake up, just introducing more illegalites will not make them legal. Before you have any right to talk human rights, law and order and so you you have to carry them out first not just talk about them when it suits you.

And I feel for the anyone accused of leaking such information, the'll be tortured and killed by their beloved motherland, oh, and someone remind me , what human rights exist in Turkey or the illegal TRNC ?? Yeah Jack .

theiving bastards, and i say this to ANY GC who goes to the illegal commission, TRAITORS. You sell your patritha and you would sell you mother.

Pantheman , what would you suggest I do about my father's house that was recently willed to my brother, sister and myself. We do not want to share the house, we lead our own lives, my sister could do with the money and even if the property was in the south we would still sell it. I'm in my 60s, my sister is a pensioner but still works to keep her son in the manner to which he has become accustomed. How long before we have to wait for a solution? This property commission is very tempting. Pull your bloody finger out TPap. Perhaps you would like to buy it Pantheman!

If you ever get it back that is and are alive to enjoy it. Why not take the money and buy something where you can enjoy it now while you are alive or you may even get your land back in the north but you will never be able to relize this if you do not apply.

Dear Jerry,

i sympathise with what you are saying, you are not the only one who has property of some description in the north, i too have property left to me. But the way i see it, after 33 yrs (well almost) of not having it, i consider it lost anyway. If my kids ever see it fine, but i wouldn't feel right about myself assisting the thieving illegal perpurtraitors in thier quest for recognition by falling into their trap and playing their political bullshit.

IMO we would be weakening the GC cause by going to the illegal TRNC and thats the game the Turks are playing, recognition by the back door.

Perhaps in hind sight, the use of word 'traitors' was abit harsh, i take that back, i guess each person has his/her own reasons for doing this, but always bear in mind the consequences of such actions. It serves to strengthen the otherside to the detriment of the rest of us hoping for some just and lawfull solution to a very complex problem.

BTW, village fools are those that think that they are getting away with their illegalities. There not and time will show this.

Are you aware that many Tcs are actually selling their land in South for the very same reasons Jerry has expressed. I guess there is nothing wrong with that than is there pantheman?

If so why is it so wrong the other way round?
