Asians in Cyprus?

Are there many Asians in Cyprus?
How do Cypriots feel about them?
Any observations on this topic?

Strictly speaking, all Cypriots are Asian!!!! Geographically, Cyprus is a few tens of km from mainland Asia. That they are considered European, both within and without the country, is a totally different story.

Then why is it caled the EUROvision song contest and not the EUROASIAN song contest :wink:

Ps I just told my missus she's an asian (not too chuffed I can tell you)

What was she not chuffed about? Greek vote for Cyprus or Cypriot vote for Greece? If she has a good voice and lives in Cyprus I am sure she could enter the Eurovision on behalf of RoC. But I dont know about the Greek vote if she does. :lol: :lol: :lol:

It wasnt the song contest she wasnt chuffed about

It was me telling her she's now an asian!!! (thans to Devil for that) :lol:

Yes, there are many asians living here, generally as Housemaids or Houseboys, working in restaurants, construction or gardening.

I was with three Sri Lankan friends this afternoon: one is a maid, one works in a taverna and one works spraying cars. In spite of their less than wonderful positions, they are always happy and smiling.

Also people from Bagladesh etc.

Thats because the little girl knows she's going to MacDonalds. And she will probally get a 'free' toy that was made in Asia!!!
