Strictly speaking, all Cypriots are Asian!!!! Geographically, Cyprus is a few tens of km from mainland Asia. That they are considered European, both within and without the country, is a totally different story.

That would go down like a lead balloon with most Cypriots.
They are still trying to deal with in-bread racism.
they might get over it in the next ten years..
They still have the mentality that the uk had in the late 60`s early 70`s
but it is getting better ..

There are about 900+ indian software engineers spread across Lemesos and Nicosia....And sadly they get confused often with the labourers from other asian countries. I'm not sure if they are treated well. for sure, you could see wrinkled eyebrows at asians... sometimes even more bad remarks and abuses...

Does not matter if someone is a software engineer or a labourer. I think everyone should be treated well immaterial of the job one does.
