denizaksulu wrote:Kikapu; you assume wrong. There is nothing wrong with Miltiades. I have not yet formed an informed opinion of you, so you are not number two. I have yet to read your past posts. I am no politician, I believe live and let live. I want to meet as many Cypriots as possible and make friends and try to build bridges at a personal level. I am a Humanist (not that Humanist). I believe that there is enough room in Cyprus for all Cypriots to live in harmony. I hope one day it will come. Bridges must be built on strong foundations and we need to kick the politicians in their backsides to act towards a settlement which will be accepted by most of us.

And I second that , Cyprus has plenty of room for us all and when we have that Souvla on the Troodos mountains , you my friend get to chooser the meat , I will choose the Wine !!
Your are so right about meeting as many Cypriots as possible , beleive me it is so constructive and enlightening as I have found. Everyone knows I have tremendous respect for Birkibrisly , Kikapu , mrfromng and many more who sadly no longer post. The more bridges you build the more solid the crossing to the peaceful era will be.

The problem is not the amount of land we have to live on but who will rule and who will keep the peace.

The rule of the law , would you not agree VP.

Whos law? administered by whom? under what Political structure structure?

The law of the land VP , as in all nations on this planet , it is not the law of the jungle ! The Cypriot legal system is very much that of other EU member states and as in other EU nations is bound by the decisions of the EU ligislature. Come on now tell us what these horid G/Cs will do to their T/C compatriots with the EU watching their everuy move and even more with Turkey not that far away.

Once Turkey leaves and we are left at the mercy of the GC 80% you also have in store for the courts to be full of GCs administering the law watched over by the EU. The EU means nothing so your control mechanism is not valid you are talking about a body that cannot even keep its word and the GCs are to slipper to get caught discriminating against TCs, what ever happen to the thug that beat up the TCs in the English School? You asking us to take this leap of faith is very very dangerous without securing plenty of safeguards and guarantees we should not take love strucken people like you seriously.

And from a man who was not born in Cyprus , who never never interacted with G/Cs who refuses to bury the past that he never experienced but learned fron second hand sources.
Learn from the past he says , what past mate in South London or was it North London.
The following is surely the criteria for measuring this mans'blind hatred for his compatriots , including my self .

miltiades I have been on the island for past 15 years and was a constant vistor throughout my lifetime prior to settling here. While you live in Surrey UK I live with TCs and raised my children here in the TRNC and I know their real thoughts about what went on back then, dont be fooled by the polite exterior they put on not to upset anyone but they are happy in the fact that they are no longer exposed to GC trickery discrimination and oppression, which they say even exsists today but they feel fortunate enough to view this from a distance through the media ahence the need for plenty of safeguards and guarantees to provide a base for building trust and cooperation.

That’s fine DT.......We have been blaming the "RoC" government and all the politicians for not being able to come to some kind of compromise but the more you guys post the more it is obvious that this whole thing could be driven from the ground up. We can lose confidence in the very people that we still trust on the ground even if they tell us they love us but continuously ignore what we are saying g to them. We are not asking for our rights that the whole world believes should be included in any form of a united Cyprus nut are demanding it. The Zurich agreement and all the other agreements after that have tried to cover these obviously necessary points but you guys seem to think that you know better. Then in the same breath you quote us other resolutions that we should follow. The only difference between the resolutions that were passed and those that were not is that YOU ALONE have voted no for what the rest of those involved have voted yes. I wonder why that is????????

JUST THINK ABOUT IT. THE ONLY REASON THAT THE RESOLUTIONS AND OR SETTLEMENTS ARE NOT BEING IMPLEMENTED TODAY IS BECAUSE YOU HAVE DECIDED THAT THE AGREEMENTS REACHED BY MANY ORGANISATIONS AS TO THE WAY FORWARD HAS BEEN PUT TO YOU AND YOU HAVE REJECTED THEN ONE BY ONE. TALK ABOUT ARROGANCE AND INTENT!!!!

Zan i don't know why you'd say that. A coupld of days ago BigOz and myself started working through a solution framework based on principles we would both agree. As soon as we stopped posting for a second and AFTER we AGREED...it got taken over by both GC's and TC's (Mrfromng, VP, GR etc) and got pulled apart bit by bit.

If both sides let their guard down for a second you get a little honesty. As you said before the reason you may find some posts hard to digest is because they are simply reactions to the arrogance and spin the other side plays with. Well my friend this is true of both sides.
