The point is we in Cyprus never claimed to be smart, or great, we are a bunch of villagers whose only priority is eating and eating and drinking,and of course later on shitting. We are simple people, don't care neither understand the great Greek ideals nor the great principles of Ataturks and all those things.

I have an idea why don't we open a new category in this forum for cypriot food. We can exchange recipes...(and then my wife will really think i've gone over the edge.)

My village in Cyprus , Stroumbi The Great , is not not only famous for producing the finest Donkeys in Cyprus which everyone knows , but also the greatest and tastiest Loukanica . As a child I grew up eating Loukanica , Halloumi bread and olives . I still do now as a 61 year old. Artichokes were my favourites too , with lemon and salt they tasted out of this world. The Greeks called them Agginares , we called them Kafkaroues , which led to an incident when a visiting Greek in the mid 50s asked us kids to fetch some aggirares , we uprooted the whole plant and were rather surprised when he refused to pay !!

Well actually my wife hates lountza, but whenever we're in Cyprus my father in law makes sure we have all the yummy, poisonous Cypriot delicacies we can eat. It's his only chance to have some himself too, since our presence protects him from my pethera's whining

Those Loukanika are literally soaked in alcohol, you can eat a bite and get drunk, VERY dangerous stuff

So, no comments from the GetReals and the others like him on my previous post on the Istanbul pogrom...

Alex, as I said a couple of times I have NOTHING to discuss with Greeks because its a total waste of time. Greece has been nothing but catastrophic for Cyprus and the sooner we go our separate ways the better. Greeks/Greece are like expired milk and theres only one place for that down the sink!

The only time I bother to whack you lot on the head is when you attempt to undermine my country's history by broadcasting lies when the evidence clearly proves that Cyprus was “Cyprus” before any of you Greeks or Turks even existed.
