I've sent you a private message Sarah.

But I've just realized that the place you will be moving to is on the turkish occupied side of Cyprus ( I think-- near famagusta ) so the two web sites I've recommended will be of no use to you as they relate to the republic of Cyprus.

Are you moving for work or have you bought a place there ?

Well as far as I'm aware it's ( as I previously mentioned ) on the occupied part of Cyprus and is a fair way from Paralimni also you would have to cross over the check point and show your passport -- your car insurance may be invalid plus lots of other problems -- in short a total load of unnecessary hassle.

If shes in Paralimni why not find somewhere around that area and not somewhere which is almost like a different country ( even though it shouldn't be) after the Turkish invasion.

Bogaz is indeed a beautiful place but not exactly "around the corner" from Paralimni which is what I think you would be looking for to be near your sister .

Why not have a look at the buy sell web site at the rentals on the Eastern side of the island and find somewhere closer to paralimni in the Republic of Cyprus and not on the Turkish occupied part as in your situation it would make more sense to be in the ROC.

I've sent another pm.

I forgot that new forum members can't send pm's until they have made a few posts

Going through the border isnt 'loads of hassle' at all. The border guards are all a bit 'sourpuss' but then its their job to scowl. I just look through them! Bogaz is about 25km outside Famagusta..... not that far from paralimni really... do the journey in under an hour!
