Now Google earth has a newer map of Limassol that covers almost the whole city It must be less than 6 month old unlike the previous one that was a few years old! Google Maps continues to show the old image thought. I guess it is a good chance to make comparisons

Yeah, I noticed last week. Previously I had looked at it about a year ago and it was just a smudge. Now I can see the building I live in. Tops. Notice the cool picture of the twister down by the beach?
On a downside my old car has vanished from my old house in the UK.
I'm guessing the marriage proposal in NY is also gone (someone wrote "marry me" or something like that on the roof of his building. Was readable from Google Earth).

Yeah, although it was in the papers at the time, so I'm sure he let her know. Suppose he could have got her a cake with the GPS coords in it and the URL for google earth. Or something.... Amazingly sad...

On a somewhat different tack.... Does anybody know a road in Limassol called "Leondioy" ? I can't find it on any online maps, althought I haven't really found a good online map.

Think this may be the road from Makarios Ave down past the Central Police Station towards the Old port. Sounds right just a variation on the spelling which is commom here.

yeah theyve updated the maps some time ago. And a lil bit of spam, if you see images on the map by Poseidon_Simons, those are mine XD Everyone can upload theirs here http://www.panoramio.com The "bad" thing is that it takes up to a month for the images to appear on the map
