How did you translate that? I didn't have a clue what was being asked (or maybe you don't either you're just trying to sound clever!)

Hi Niki, long time no hear! :)

I understood this part of the post… "Connection oriented and connectionless oriented transfer", and that can only mean examples like I posted. It's actually basic IT knowledge and part of the international curriculum for A+ certification exams.

I have enough certifications in IT to fill up a wall. 8)

Right:)Not so much, because I meant like..conection oriented like VP or ATM connections, datagrams, etc.Its all messy in my head too, but it is not definitely the simple exaples you show, it is about broadcast internet transfer.TCP/IP, UDP, etc, gad it?:)Soffy I did't think to explain it better i will edit my post
Besides when you have time professor Get Real!

Internet protocols such as TCP/IP or Telphony protocols such as Sealink?
Make your mind up.

I wouldn't have a clue but the "-rn" tells me that it accepts a command line parameter so it's most likely some utility. "Network statistics" judging by the utility's name?

Acunga,
Check the following web page for an explanataion of the 'netstat' command. Although this is a Linux site, the command is the same whichever OS you are using. Hope it helps.

Yes, buddy, i see this too, but i need to write down what netstat wit -rn means. In the end I will just write down what netstat do and consider problem solved.
And now about these examples.get Real, you helped me great with the project of LAN/WLAN i remember you know and probably can a lot of things connected with networks.
I made up my mind.I want examples for exactly this way of connections, I don't know what Sealinkk is.I have in my lectures connection oriented transfer and ~less oriented one as conseptions so I thought you should know.
I think chat on icq is a example of ~less oriented transferring, but I am not shure. Here is what is connection and ~less oriented transfer..ooops protocols, it was called protocols:
http://www.leapforum.org/published/inte ... ode11.html
So I need two examples of both clear as the first one, ok?
