Why hide your forum idendity????

I dont undestand why some people choose to remain as "hidden users"???

somebody explain to me pls...

As time goes by and you tend to make more and more friends people start looking for you and you do the same to others so the problem is that if you're not hidden you sometimes get bombarded by PM's as soon as you log on :) That's the only difference I've noticed having tried both methods.

It's one of the options in your user profile. Have a look.
