*Safety Guard*

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

*Safety Guard*

Ok... SO here is the Scenerio:

Imagine that we are to take our first steps to living together... There will be some safety concerns, especially the TC. Now our aim is to give logical solutions for a "safer" society. How can we prevent some extreemist nationalists from causing harm to both societies??? How can we protect our family members from being targeted??? Until we the gain mutual "trust", there are things to be done to prevent "disorder" in the community

I am gonne try and do a brainstorm... Its going to be a casual discussion, which can be worked on later on...

First thing that comes in my mind is some "improvements" in the Media... TV and Radio stations should play a "constuctive role" in a united cyprus... All news must past through a filter and "provocative" messeges should not be allowed... Such as "A TC school kid was beaten up really bad by the GC gang" sounds extremly provocative. Instead more "natural" language should be used and the "etnicithy" shouldnt be the main focus of the news. The focus should be on the names "Mehmet was beaten up by Georgios'gang " for example. lol... This was a "micro" model of what is need to be done on "macro"...

I have the "hot line" idea in my mind.... There can be "trivial" cases where involvedment of police would be unnecessary. In these kind of cases, "hot line guards" will have the responsibilty to keep the "order". These guards should
-contain TC and GC background security members
-should have no "weapons"(prefably should know kung-fu ^^)
-should be "cool", and made "popular" by the media
-the members of these guards should be "peaceful" individuals and should all have professional "psychological" knowledge since they will be dealing with individuals....

.... I will add more to my list later on ^^

Can you kindly cut to the chase and tell us about how you see the political balance, settlers, land, security etc and what safe guards do you feel should be in place to ensure TCs do not excluded, discriminated and dominated by 80% of the population in your united Cyprus.

I already replied to you that I will deal with every question you asked 1 by 1. You bombared me with questions and you dont give me time to answer. I dont understand why u are rushing... The questions you asked dont have just one sentece answers and I would like to form "healthy" discussion...

This thread is allocated for "public safety" issues. I have seen many times topics drifting away from the main subjects and I dont want it happen on this thread as well... I expect you to help me keep this thread on "its original line". I will soon open a new thread for "settlers" as I think I will be keeping it short... thank u

No one is asking you for a thesis, just an outline of what points you feel are important to ensure a balance between the communities where we are not left to the mercy and domination of the GCs.

Actually I was happy that VP asked questions coz then he summarized some bullet points for me to write my opinions. I will keep your advice in mind but I dont think I will ask him questions if I dont feel like asking.... Lets focus on the "safety guards" issue. I will answer your questions on a different thread... I insist on keeping this topic clean from "irrelecant dicussion" ...

OK Gizzy, it's your time.!!

I also meant for him to answer his own questions, that he is asking you. Let's see what his proposals are.??
