The Ajax is a nice hotel and had some refurbishment work completed during a winter closure. However, it is situated about a few streets back from the seafront whereas the Atlantica Oasis is just across the road from the sea.

If you can look on a map of the tourist area and find the Holiday Inn hotel, there is a road almost directly opposite (the fire station is on the same road, sorry - I don't know the name of the road off hand). Follow the road upwards until it meets Grivas Dighenis and you will see almost a continuation of the road you just followed from the seafront. The Ajax is about 200m further up on the right hand side. It's below the highway and in between Makedonias Ave and Grivas Dighenis street.

It is a nice hotel but possibly not so "holidayfied" (is there such a word) as those nearer to the seafront.

Hi Lumia 25, Did you pay by credit card? Perhaps they can help you out re a refund -I would contact them for advice. Also I would go to the trading standards with this one and let them have a go at Thomson.
The Ajax hotel is ok but a long way from the sea, right at the back of Limassol.
Miri mar hotel is ok.

Contacted ABTA yesterday and was told i have to give Thomson a chance to resolve the problem..Thomson have been saying all week that my file is on its way from head office but up to now it still hasn't managed to get there. Without this file they can't begin to find alternative compensation,i can honestly say i've never felt so angry,i'm trying not to take it out on the pre departures but i'm starting to think i'm being messed around a bit too much!
Trading Standards recommended ABTA so fingers crossed if Thomson keep messing up they'll get their hands slapped big time,we paid cash so cant use the credit card help but thank you for the advice. We've got a holiday to Euro Disney booked with Thomson in Oct..(hopefully they'll get this one right)
