Hi Cyprus4mesoon, we are hoping to take our dog out by the end of the year , our dog loves his kennel and I would suggest you get your dog to go in it for a few minutes a day and leave it open with a comfy blaket in so that he thinks its a nice place to go also put him in it in the car so he gets really used to it , it wont be nearly as stressful then .
We have been told that you must travel on the same plane as your dog.
I think its normal to be concerned about putting him in the hold I know we are but needs must and it will all be over soon enough ready for a new life !
We will check out the web site too - thanks for that Southerner

I had a chat with the Grimaldi Line. They have an agent in London. You can actually sail from ther UK but its a long trip. Even from Salerno its several days as the ship calls on the African Coast first. Another issue is you can only book ten days in advance for the shorter trips (i.e from Cyprus) I've also spoken to Peter Gilman at Air Logistics you can email him at [email protected] He is very helpful. We are going to fly our two labs out with him.

Regards

Air Logistics 01293 579546 ask for Peter he's very helpful.

This company sell the cheapest approved pet containers that I've found so far.

Thanks Southerner, I will speak to Peter tomorrow.
Also been on the website you gave and the pet containers are very cheap in comparison to others that I have seen, so thanks again. :D

Hi K'n'G,
Thanks for the advice, I am going to buy a kennel now, so as you say my dog can get used to it. I am going to speak to Peter Gilman at Air Logistics tomorrow and from what I have read, I am sure he will put my mind at rest!.
I have looked at alternatives to get him there and of course flying is the most logical and fastest way, so I have decided that is the way we will go, but will be glad when it is all over and we are in Cyprus enjoying our new life :D
B
You will probably be going before us, so I hope all goes well for you, maybe you could let us all know how it all went once you have settled in. :D
