POLITICAL PARTIES FROM BOTH SIDES MEET AT LEDRA PALACE !!!!
Some Turkish and Greek Cypriot political party leaders have resumed their meeting in the Ledra Palace Hotel in the buffer zone.
During the meeting, which was chaired by the Slovakian Ambassador to Cyprus Jan Varso, the political party leaders discussed the issue of establishing a common parliament, with the aim of contributing to the reunification of Cyprus.
Speaking at a press conference after the meeting, the Slovakian Ambassador Jan Varso said that Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot political party leaders discussed the issue of paestablishing a common parliament, aiming to contribute to the reunification of the island.He stated that the political party leaders have agreed to hold the issue on the agenda and to carry out necessary works on the issue.
Mr Varso announced that it has also been agreed to hold special bi-communal activities as he completes his term of duty in Cyprus.
The representatives of CTP, TKP, BDH, SKP, BKP, and the YKP from the North and representatives of EDI, EDEK, AKEL DIKO and the Green Party from the South attended the meeting.
The next meeting will be held on Monday, 25th June.
