Romania citizens need Visa?

Romania citizens need Visa ?If I buy a one way ticket to Cyprus,do you need visa for tourist or for work at Romanian Airport .Anybody experience that .I head you need to show them return ticket?

Iam not Romanian, but I think Romania joined EU beginning Jan 1, 2007.

I think most EU countries have some temporary restrictions for immigration from the new EU countries from the eastern block but I think Cyprus doesn't have such restrictions.
