I will take you there when you come over. It's a 5000 years old settlement and they have reconstructed next to the ruins the whole village as it stood once in exactly the way of building, including wooden hinges on doors.

Here's one inside the pre-historic village community centre with the pre-historic 'your's truly'.

Nice pics Kafenes, thanks. You have got me thinking now, why do you look like me. What village do you hail from? No I am only joking.
The circular houses remind me of the Khirokhitia excavation, which I last saw around 1958/59.  They must have done much more work since. Ah,So little time and so much to do.

Such an interesting thread , sorry for my intrusion. Lemba village is a stones throw away from my village , Stroumbi , and I have never been there , will make a point of doing so on my next visit.

Yes, very similar to Khirokitia. Must have been the same developer. :)

I am not from Anglisides but from the very close Larnaca town. I remember my father used to go often to Anglisides for hunting, so you never know, we might be related. :)

Miltiades; Ignore others comments re: intrusions. This is a forum. Open to all. Free for all. If they want privacy they can PM. Mercifully the Cypforum has provided that facility. I think it was rude on their part to have a go at you. Such stupidity. ...and good morning to you and all. And what a horible day (UK) its fathers day and the grandchildren are taking us out I am looking for as many umbrellas as possible. Damn it I have to get my winter clothes out again. Now where are they?

What a pity we can't have/observe more conversations like this on this forum.
