They could come and claim all the properties thay have in north, andlive in north under the rules of TRNC if they choose to do so. Brits are willing to live in north, I am sure we can accomodate 100 plus refugees in the north.

After some time, like all the foreigners they can also gain TRNC citizsenship, adn start voting for their GC people into TRNC parliament, if they choose to do so.

Politicians are true problem solvers only when they start thinking out of the box....;)

Yes and that "TRNC" passport will be very useful when traveling.

BTW, I responded with that comment cause I"m assuming you're post was sarcastic.

Turkcyp,

In the eyes of ECHR CYprus is illegally occupied. The court does not recognize TRNC. What you are saying is wishful thinking. This is why the Loizidou cause was against Turkey and not TRNC. Because the TRNC does not exist in the eyes of the international community.

Turkcyp,

You are talking utter rubbish. You think the GC's were able to stay in the north after what the Turks were doing to civilians? Look at the way the enclaved of Karpasia live today. They are treated like 2nd class citizens, their homes are mysterioulsy burgled, they live like prisoners basically, surrounded by your friendly neighbourhood settler.

The Turks forced the exchange of populations in 1975 by threatening to take the whole island and they called this an 'exchange of populations' agreement! The only difference was that we had the barrel of a gun pointing at our head. Thats why there was an 'agreement'. A forced exhange of population. By that time only a mere 25000 GC's were living in the north, mainly in Karpasia, whilst the vast majority of TC's were still living in the south.

Do you remeber the UN trucks full of TC's that were crying when they were being taken away to go north? They didn't look like they wanted to leave the south, did they.
