Really? Couldn't you think of something more original to sue him about?

The law is if you want to take a book that is more than 50 years old from the country, you have to let the authorities know first.

Turk, can you not understand why you make Yerevan so angry? It is all possible, (and I make assumptions here), that he lost relatives in the genocide. When you turn around to somebody who loses so much, and then tell them "THERE WAS NO GENOCIDE!" Do you realize how angry that must make them!? Especially when you try to find 'reasons' for the genocide, like isolated incidents of clashes between Armenians and Turks in which Turks died. That is like saying, Oh, the reason for the Holocaust is because the Jews were annoying the Germans.

I believe most countries have this law, it's a sort of 'cultural protection' law. If turks wrote any books in their ancient times then maybe they could feel the same way. But they never wrote, only kill......

magikthrill,

talking about tourist harrassment, I think your country holds the record. Just remember the infamous "plane-spotters" case where tourists were charged with espionage

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/3242024.stm
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/2490185.stm

There were 12 Britons, from across the UK, and two Dutchmen arrested near a Greek airbase two years ago while on an organised plane-spotting trip.

Six of the Britons and the two Dutchmen were originally given three-year jail terms for spying, while the others received one-year suspended sentences for aiding and abetting.

when you first mentioned tourist harrasment i thought you might have been referring to the bulgarian prostitutes and strippers that come to greece but then realized they are not toursists.

and then i read your artciel to find an isoalted incident two years ago. why i DO believe we hold the record.

Thank You for understanding KYPROS-EINAI-ELLHNIKH.
You are right, I did lost relatives during the genocide. Although we very well know that present generetion had nothing to do with the genocide, but it is the total DENIAL that makes us so angry

I understand my friend, but you have to understand. Minor Asia (Turkey) will not survive for much longer, it is surrounded by enemies, the Kurds hate them, The Greece hates them, the Armenians hate them, the Syrians hate them, The Russians hate them, the Serbs hate them. As soon as Turkey puts one foot out of line in regard to territorial issues, you will have all these countries rushing in wishing to carve up a piece of Turkey for themselves. We can only hope and pray this day comes soon.

Yeah Kypros, you remind me the old days, when all the powerful countries tried to divide Turkey, but one thing! THEY COULDN'T succeed.May be you can defeat an attacking army but you cannot imagine the force of people defending, if ever those days come if ever, do not underestimate the power of Turkish people, or you will be buried under soil in no time!!

But let's hope we have a peaceful world, and we see no more dying in future.. This is the ideal thought of us all(except kypros, yerevan??)
