162 Applications to the TRNC Property Commission

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

162 Applications to the TRNC Property Commission

Postby Viewpoint » Sun May 27, 2007 10:52 pm

162 applications, 19 have accepted compensation and 3 have had their properties returned, this is the only way forward seeing no comprehensive solution can be agreed.

According to that report the other day from the "RoC" parliament, the others are selling their property by the hundreds. You would think there is an election coming up.

I told Sotos to get in the queue the other day. The man suffered a nervous breakdown. I say to my GC cousins, go and discuss your issue with the commission, you don't have to accept or agree with their offer but at least listen to them and weigh your options.

There is a saying "a bird in hand is better than 2 in the bush". Don't listen to your Papad he has his own agenda, go with your gut feeling.

Any transfer of land to be legal has to pass from the relevant authorities of the Republic of Cyprus, so I don't need to comment any further on that aspect.

Beyond that, even if we assume that TCs would use legal means to buy the private land of some refugees, how would that solve the Cyprus problem?

Private land is private land. Citizens can sell them between them and foreigners can buy them as well (as long as the legal procedures are followed), however the land is always within the country and is always subject to the laws of the country regardless of who owns the titles to private land.

To put it in simple terms: You can not buy a country. If you could, then I could just go an buy the whole private land in a part of Turkey larger than Cyprus and declare it the "Piratis country".

So if TCs want to use legal means (and not their pseudo commissions) to buy private land from GCs, there is absolutely no problem. Beyond that, Cyprus, the country itself (just like any other country) and any part of it is not for sale, and Republic of Cyprus will always have sovereignty rights over the whole island regardless of any efforts by the invadors to Turkify the land we lived for over 3000 years.

the info was published by "kibris".

in the "kibris" article though, there were other things ....like the disagreement of a local tc village muhtar to the return of land to gcs. 8 tc got letters to visit the property commission. bairam ince (the muhtar), claimed that it the decision has caused panic to tc, who are now making attempts to sell the gc lands that was given to them.

Its a joke and im sure no politicians apart from Turkey's takes this commission seriously. As if the Turkish Property Commission is going to return even half of the properties to their legit owners. More propaganda crap spread by VP.

This commission exist, it has a physical address and cases have been heard and dealt with. How can it be a propaganda crap created by VP. Its as real as it gets and is an option 162 individuals have benefited from.

Amazing how you attack VP and divert attention from the real subject.
