How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

VP is a victim of Turkish propaganda like so many of his people that have been led to believe that they are numerous enough and able to form a “state” and rule half of Cyprus.

They totally ignore the fact that Turkey gives vast annual aid to keep them looking like they are running a “country” so they hold onto the misconception that once the “embargoes” are relaxed all these magical business activities will turn the “TRNC” into a Switzerland, or Singapore, or something.

TC’s like VP totally ignore the fact that most of their people are uneducated, unskilled, and totally out of touch with contemporary international standards and wouldn’t stand a chance competing in the real world. The educational programs that would be required to bring them up to scratch would be large, costly, and very long term.

These so-called “educated” Turkish Cypriots, usually from the Diaspora, are actually the ones that are leading their people to extinction by spreading their unattainable theories with absolutely no plans as to how this magical prosperity will come about. They haven’t the faintest idea how such a small workforce with so many shortcomings can possibly establish and sustain a modern infrastructure and couldn’t care less either, as long as you hoist the red on white bogus flag and shout Attaturk!.

Turkey of course wants the TC’s to think this way so that they may continue “justifying” their illegal stay in Cyprus and for them the annual aid given to the TC’s is like a rental payment for the strategically useless military base on Cyprus. What a sad lot!

Regards, GR.

Mate you've got no idea of the literacy ratios and education levels in the occupied areas. Its probably better than in the ROC.

Maybe that's why the majority TC's gave a "Resounding Yes" to the Annan Plan, so that the RoC may become responsible for all the little details, including paying the expenses.

Where on earth did you get that from DT? The great majority can't even speak English in the North.

When the border crossing first opened we had a lot of TC's cross over looking for parts etc that they could only get in Turkey. I use to work for the largest IT company at the time and was in charge of the Laptop department. You have no idea how many TC's approached us either to puchase parts, or for work, or for some sort of cooperation or whatever, and the one thing I noticed was that they were clueless in both IT and English. I was handed letterheads with all sorts of propositions from IT companies in the North and I just couldn't even make out what they were talking about and you want to brag about their levels of education?

What are you talking about GR? What makes you think that???

How on earth do you expect a community that is not affiliated with ANY international body whatsoever, and that has had no guidance or standards to follow for over three decades to be in line with the rest of the world?

When did you last go there T_C?

You are showing your own ignorance. Go read the World Bank report on the TRNC.

I did check the World Bank's official site and there was no mention of "TRNC". Why didn't you post a link to save me the trouble?
