How do TCs view the forthcoming ROC presidential elections?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Maybe If I was thinking about it a bit more I could find somebody better. Any suggestions?

How can you talk of “gifted” and mention Marcos who has the intellect of a tree shrew? Do you know why he was made an EU minister? Because deceased daddy is a former president and certainly not because of any of Marco’s accomplishments or talents!

Andros Kyprianou (AKEL) is the only gifted politician from the younger generation but still young and as I said in the past he MUST shift towards the center soon if he is to have any chance at the presidency in a decade or so.

For the time being Piratis, TP is the best we’ve got and as I said on another forum:

“TP has become the “Patriarch” of Cyprus just like you get a dominant Patriarch in a group of Elephants. His service against the British, fervent support of Makarios, legal background, and dedicated career in politics has earned him that and nobody dares challenge him. The AKEL poll is nothing but a gimmick for the eyes of the public.”

He's an idiot who's positioned every mate, relatve and in-law in posts of government since he got elected. His attitude is a defensive one which takes us back decades and one with aboslutely no intitatives of his own.

As far as I'm concerned the only right thing he did was reject that monstrosity of a plan. I am however tired of excusing his clan-like system of govt for that one action.

SO far if I had to pick one it would be Cassoulides. (as the meeting in Cuba said it in the godfather..."After all, we are not communists") Bugger off Christofias.

sorry i know the question we for TC's but I had to say it.

Is the above description an admission that he was an EOKA member? :?

check your history newbie. EOKA is not the same organisation as EOKA B. My grandfather, father and every single uncle were EOKA yet they were against EOKA B.

As far as I'm concerned people who fought against the English rule are heroes in my mind.

Not when you take into account that their ultimate goal was to fight the English and once this was achieved to exterminate the Turks for their life long dream of ENOSIS.

Heroes in your eyes, murderers in ours. One more reason why we can never live together and the best solution is staring us in the face but we all wanna deny it.

Zan, so far I had hope that the partinionist and extremely nationalistic post of yours were some sort of reaction to equally nationalistic posts from the side of Nikiforos, alexISS and co. I amn sorry to say that your above post is a really disappointing one that shows you have no interest whatsover about reunifying the island.

It just makes one wonder what was all those argunment about TP being a rejectionist afterall since you really don't give a sh*t about waht happens on the GC side.

Whats all the fuss? it looks like you are happy with the short guy with the fat nose who married his best friends wife. You will follow like sheep and re-elect him for another term, you never know he may just shed a few more crocodile tears to get the sympathy vote. Looks like the Cyprus problem is a non starter for another 5 years, more of the same as it appears you GCs are happy with his dealings and prgress on the Cyprus issue.

Well done GCs you can only blame yourselves.
