bank and loan cases

Postby bebot » Wed May 23, 2007 8:33 am

this is my case, i was reported absconding by my company in uae and my banks are after me. i have loans and credit cards which i cannot pay in uae at the moment since I am unemployed. i am now in bahrain. is there a way my banks could still get me to jail even if i am here? i dont want to run away from them its just that i am still looking for a job right now so i could sustain paying them and my obligations. is it true that they can catch me through the airport immigrations once i exited in bahrain aiport?

im so scared
pls advise

That depends entirely on existing agreements between the two countries. You need legal advice not forum advice. Good luck.

Don't run away from anything. Go to them and sort it out. They cannot put you in jail unless you have done something illegal. Sort out a method of payment that suits you even if it is a pound a week. You will find that with the right advise and if you are genuine they will even write off large amounts and give you time to pay. Running away will not solve anything. Legal advice or one of those debt management companies is a better option.
