Well the above comment drew my attention, as I find it kind of funny for TC people to accuse other TCs of making spelling errors in Turkish when they themselves are no better. It even makes it funnier when such arguments are used to question someones true identity. "Turkdur" above is wrong, it should have been turktur or even better Turk’ tur. Benin tahminim (my guess) seems also wrong cause there is no verb directly attributed to the guess itself. Bana gore/in my opinion should have been more appropriate here I think.

tahminimce is a correct phrase in this case
the suffix -cik for hastacik is not correct, never heard before
binicisi?? I have never heard this before either

And great to see your Turkish is always improving...

The quote above is very unfortunate,coming from Mrfromng....He is the only person of this forum I have met in real life,and I can assure you he is a most charming and delightful person...The arguments in this forum sometimes bring out the worse in us...and I imagine MR was very tired and emotional when he wrote that line...

As to the language used...This is Cypiot Turkish at its best...Very colourful, descriptive, and precise at the same time...Someone speaking modern Turkish spoken in Turkey would've said something like this:
"Benim tahminime gore Rum da olabilir Turk de olabilir,ama kucuk bir hastaligi vardir,hafiften ibnedir,ve onu yapan da Rumdur"...

Grammatically you are right,it should be Turk'tur...But in Cypriot Turkish ts often pronounced as ds..hence Turkdur..."biraz hastaciktir" and "binicisi" is pure colloquial Cypriot Turkish...That's why karma above says she hasn't heard them...It is very effective language...My only regret is that MR has used it in a way that it has debased the language and himself,in one angry shot...Pity...really...

My gues is you have never heard Cypriot Turkish spoken,is that right?
Cypriot Turkish is the truly poetic form of Turkish,underestimated and belittled by modern Turkish speakers...It is disappearing in the trnc,and lives only in the Tcs from the diaspora...Like all languages it can be used or abused terribly well...The intend here is terribly regretable,and totally uncalled for...

Believe me it is best left untranslated,dear DT...That's why I treated it as a language question for my dear compatriot,Mic AtCyp...
