Hia cou;ld anyone tell me if the laws have changed on getting permanent residence in Cyprus asa British Citizen , ive just been to pick up forms and told them I will need to work , they gave me the form and a slip to tell me what to take for my interview I was supprised to see they dont need signed bank statements and medical insurence house sale contract any more is this true, I am not retiring and need to work,

Does anyone know if the same applies to people retiring to Cyprus and not working please?

As far as I know, you have to fill out the MEU2 form for EU citizens. You need to have your employer sign the form along with a company stamp. You then wait 6 months unless you bribe someone and viola your Residence and work permit arrives.

can I apply for a work permit even though I do not have an employer and dont want to go self employed?
