OMG i felt so silly, i was vv embarrased as i started crying just as we got down from the car as there were soooo many beautiful dogs there.
To cut a long story short, i wanted to get a dog for my little boy. I was sure that i wanted a spaniel and specified that i thought it was the only breed that i would want, as i was brought up with spaniels. There were dogs of every shape and size, and in the end i settled on a little lady who is of mixed breed but absolutely lovely. Terrier crossed with a poodle.
So now i am trying to make all the preperations necessary to go and pick her up at the weekend to take her to her new home. I want to stress to you all that i havent got a lot of money, and will struggle to pay for her vaccines and nutering, but am determined that she will have the best life i can give her.
I just wrote this post, as i think everyone should take a look at their lives to see if they have the time and love to give the others a home. Anyone thinking of buying a dog, please just take a while to go down there and see them first as im sure you will fall in love with them. Who knows you may find the breed you were looking for in the first place and you can donate the money to them instead.
I just want to say a big well done to all the volunteers. All the dogs looked well cared for and the only thing they lacked is the individual love that a good home can give them. I admire you all so much, keep up the good work
