That should be the rule of thumb when ever you "gamble" with money.

It worked for me, every time I went to Las Vegas.

It still didn't make the pain of loosing, any easier.

I actually walked out of Sydney Casino with 2,400 dollars more than I walked in once...about 6 years ago...never been back since...
It was a fantastic feeling,Kikapu...
But don't ask me how much I lost in total before that day... :(

You are a gambler birtanem?

No ,Lena mou...I can never be a gambler because my father was one,and I promised myself not to be like him when I was little...
But there was a time when I was under a lot of stress, and had terrible insomnia, and found it a comfort to visit the Sydney Casino every now and then...But as I said,I cut my losses and run once I won the amount I mentioned...Sorry to have shocked you,iki gozum... 8) 8)

@ Lena,

I haven't met a Cypriot, who was not a gambler. We usually hold games amongst family members and friends at home , in London, until 6 in the morning.!!

@ Bir,

I visited Vegas so many times, while working, so I was really not there to gamble, but to enjoy the scenery and the buffets. This is what I would do at times. I would go to a very good restaurant at one of the Hotel Casinos and have a great meal for around $30-$40 US Dollars, then afterwards, I would sit and play Blackjack until I got the money back, for my meal. This worked often, but on occasions, the meal would actually cost me around £100 US Dollars.!!!!

In general though, you cant help but lose money in Vegas. The atmosphere that they have created there, is more of an entertainment than gambling. They actually make you feel good, while they take your money. It is only after you lost everything, that you start cursing yourself and also them....too late sucker, because they have already gotten your money. But like a fool, we go back again, for more punishment:lol:

Hey Bir, bad news my friend. My girlfriend has finally gotten herself a Mobile phone. Now there are only two left in the world, without one.

can someone lend me 2.00cyp till tomorrow.. Oh ! and 50p for a can of coke.. ??

You got the wrong idea,Jambo...That is begging.

Conmen are much bolder than that...They walk into the most expensive restaurant, eat the most expensive meal, drink the most expensive wine...and walk away without paying, always coming up with a very plausible story... Back to the drawing board.

I was thinking, I could start off with a kebab and a coke, then work my way up from their.

Think big,mate...As they say "there is always room at the top"...

I understand mate !! ...
maybe I should go for the big sting ....
Like running out of KFC with a family bucket.. NOW THATS BIG !!

I guess I will have to give up...I can't teach an old dog new tricks...Especially if he doesn't want to learn...

But DEL-BOY . I can do it.. PMSL

I do...and gambling is not the same as playing cards for fun. But to spend your money like that...i dont think is the right thing!

@BIRTANEM

To win money doesnt make you less gambler than losing. Anyway I am glad that you dont!! :D
