corn on the cob sellers ???

Postby villawagen » Tue May 15, 2007 9:27 pm

i was doing my usual cruise up the seafront of limassol tonight and noticed that the roasted corn on the cob sellers were out, trying desperately to sell there corn on the cobs to passing tourists, or anyone else  i counted at least 10 sellers within say half a kilometer range from the old port area until just past the cobbled road bit. it beggars belief as to why they are all selling exactly the same product in the exactly same area and trying to sell to exactly the same people, at exactly the same time :? what are they blind ?? why does not at least one of them try selling say hot dogs, or toffee apples, or flavoured condoms, or anything but bloody hot corn on the cobs ????
i just don't get it ??????

hhhmmmm i have got a good business idea :D i shall get a corn on the cob heater barrow thing and stand on the same road as the other corn on the cob sellers and sell corn on the cobs, coz the others seem to do be making £3.50 per night at it, so i can too

barking mad

Theres a fair few of them in Finikoudes in Larnaca nowadays, though there is another one in the middle of nowhere on the Dekhelia Rd as well, though never actually seen anyone stop their car to buy one from there.

VW...are those questions serious or ? I am sorry but when i was looking your avatar and reading your post really made me laugh those questions.

RicherdB...let the boy alone...he doesnt have to learn everything because he live there.

By the way, the cob is famous during the summer and I can understand your logic but some local customers they even know where they have to buy their corn. I dont really know why but they say the butter or the corn they use is different.

Ice-cream, lokmades, corn and nuts are the snacks of the night walk next to the sea! You will find lots of them near Finikoudes - Larnaca and to Limassol to the Molo area!
