Other than what K himself wrote to describe his trip, perhaps 8 posts, at least 600 have been useless bickering. Let's say that each took 10 minutes, on an average, to read and respond. That's 100 hours. Let's say that each view took a very conservative minute to read what was new. That's another 200 hours. So, 300 hours were wasted by a handful of people. That is 37½ working man-days.

Conclusion: some people have time on their hands and don't know what to do with it.!

I asked from Kikapu to post his whole story in one piece in another thread. That way people could read his story without the noise!! I still think Kikapu should do that.

That would work only if the thread were locked immediately, otherwise the culprits would just start from scratch again.

It doesn't require a statistical analysis to see who are the post-whores in the thread. Unfortunately, I don't have the means tp analyse who has wasted time viewing the thread.

I haven't opened the thread for several days, so cannot give up-to-date info.

I agree with you,but if people do not express their opinion on something posted what is the point of calling it a discussion forum?
If you ask me...the forum itself is a waste of time because no matter how many discussions go on,we are not getting anywhere near agreeing with each other..

I've nothing against civilised discussions, but this one is plain ridiculous; it's just like three Cypriots in the kafenion: each speaking at the top of his voice at the same time, even though they are less than a metre from each other, but none can hear what the others are saying because he is drowning out their voices with his own ranting, repetitive to the nth degree. Worse, the noise they make discomforts the other clients.

I don't mean to be rude but I just feel that I have to point out the irony of this thread.

I think it should have been titled "wasting time, wasting time". I realise what you are saying but are you not guilty of doing the same thing, just in the next cafe.

Anyway, carry on....Just thought I would point that out.
