if i put 8 for a then 88^2 is correct
but i can solve this

it is rectangle 11x8=88^

but the problem is a.(a+3)=88 what the valiou for (a) .i know is 8 but how to solve it

You have nothing to solve as from the information provided the area of the rectangle is always base*height and in this case is 88

If base = a
and height = a+3

so it is true that from the information provided that a*(a+3)=88

a = base =8 and
a+3= height = 11 so If you substitute a(a+3)=88 --8*11=88
