Are the people you brought to the forums attention as "greedy bastards" living on stolen property?

If they can buy a bigger house in the North than they could in the RoC and as long as it's not on GC land then whats the problem?

And the relevance is that they know the backround of the Cyprob and it's unlikely they would be talking about the possibility of a solution if they were living on someone elses land or if there was any chance their land would be taken from them...

The overwhelming majority of the land in the Trnc is GC refugee land,t_c...And you know how these people know about it?Because it is the cheapest...Real estate built on TC owned land in the North is much more expensive...People buy these properties knowing that it is built illegally on land belonging to people who have not given their consent...They gamble on the possiblility that there won't be a solution for a long time.And the prize they pay is so low that they can easily consider paying rent for the years they occupy it,if they are tossed out eventually...It is opportunistic and greedy for that reason...

I know BK, but it's not nice to literally generalise everyone in the North as a crook, thief, criminal, greedy, bastards, wankers...etc etc...Thats all I hear from these people...

TC my first post on this thread referred to my fathers house and I happen to know that it has been sold on, I also happen to know that it has been stolen. My second post is, in my opinion, clearly aimed at carpetbaggers. I do not have a problem with anyone buying pre 1974 TC land but you must know that there are different prices for land in the north depending on what sort of deeds are held by the seller, i.e. genuine TC land or "exchange" land. The people on the site I brought to your attention know they live on GC land, they have formed pressure groups to keep it, thet say that the TRNC will gaurentee their titles. If you read through the site all this becomes apparent. As Bir says most of the land sold to Brits in the north is GC land. Brits buy it because it is cheap.

Hi Richard I have read your post now and I thank you fully for taking that action and I am sorry for my coment that you do not care. I do not have a habbit of reading peoples previous posts, as I just log on to catch up with what is happening now ..... perhaps I should....... once again I do apologise and thank you for your support. There are some very decent and honorable people in the Trnc who wouldn't dream of profiting from "Haram" land...But the problem is these people are getting fewer and fewer with each passing year...It won't be long before the only people left in the Trnc are the crooks,thieves,criminals,gangsters etc...Oh,and the poor,illeducated,misguided people from Turkey called the settlers or New TCs,who will provide the services needed by the crooks and the thieves and the gangsters etc...Very sad really...

T_C I also want to say that in my posts I do appreciate that Turkish speaking Cypriots have to live somewhere and that means refugee property, they had to be housed somewhere after 74, and that is fine .... however the people who sell property to dumb arse idiots like the Orams are the ones I refer too as scum etc. In many ways really the ones that ought to be blamed are the dumb arse idiots such as the Orams who can't figure it out and say oh why am I buying land at $3000 when all the other land is in the tenths of thousands and why am buying such cheap land when the land in the south is unaffordable?
