DO THE PEOPLE LIVING IN NORTH CYPRUS ALLOWED A CITIZENSHIP?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

TOTIS MILIOTIS wrote:Cyprus problem has come to the present tragic point because the GCs and TCs were convinced they were really Greeks and Turks, and there was no such thing as a Cypriot nation...This is putting things in a nutshell, but i hope you will be able to comprehend what I am saying...

Or because some others convisted some of Cyprus citizens that they do not have a nationality and they must create one!!!!!! Can you ever thing the story to have its base on this?

As you know a coin has two sides.

On basis some theories (fo me aerologies) by Kifeas all Spanish or Chilean citizens should be Cypriots as well as all Mainland Greece and Turkey should be also Cypriots because some fanatics in these and other countries applied a junta regim for a period.

As for the "clever" question which o the political party in Cyprus support my ideas lets have a reply which political party is officialy referering o Greek speaking and Turkish speaking Cypriots and not to GREEK CYPRIOTS AND TURKISH CYPRIOTS.That means my friend Kifeas you are the person without any political representation in the Cyprus society.

Nevertheless can you reply on the main subjet whether citizens of a state ho are no paying taxes, are cooperating with the invasion forces, they are living in stolen properties should be allowed a citizenip with all rights? Do you know any other counry in the world, respective itself, hich apply such a redigulus status?

Kifeas , to be Greek, biologically is not your option. is just happen to you, personally i am very glad for you to count as another GREEK IN THIS EARTH.In theory ofcourse you can feel and say whatever you want but your problem is there -YOU ARE A GREEK AND YOU CAN NOT CHANGE IT

Kisses

Totis...Can you try to answer as few simple questions???

How long did it take the British to become Americans?
How long did it take the British to become Australians?

How long did it take the Portuguese to become Brasilians?
How long did it take the Spanish to become Argentinians?
Chileans?Uruguayans?
How long would it take for a Greek or a Turk to become Cypriots???
If your answer to the last question is forever, what is so special about Turks and Greeks that they can resist cultural and social evolution???

A bit of advice I try not to give very often: Better to keep your mouth shut and let people suspect you have nothing to say, than open your mouth and remove all doubt...This is the more polite version of that saying...You might not be so lucky next time...

Why must we always fight about 'who we are'? :(

Can we not just be Cypriot Greeks and Cypriot Turks who have both Greek and Turkish heritage as well as the unique (in my opinion) Cypriot heritage, and be done with it?

We have differences and similarities and we should embrace them both and get on with trying to find a solution...

I haven't said this for a while but, Peace. :)

SECOND REPLY: ALL ABOVE EITHER INVATED (LIKE TURKS IN CYPRUS) EITHER THEY NEVER BE INHABITANS OF THESE COUNTRIES.

STILL INDIANS IN AMERICA FEEL INDIANS AND INHABITANS IN AUSTRALIA REQUESTING THEIR RIGHTS

WE, THE GREKS OF CYPRUS, WE ARE STILL THE MAJORITY AND WE DO NOT WANT TO ALLOW THE SAME TO HAPPEN TO US-EXEMPT OF COURSE SOME UNHISTORICAL MINDS LIKE MY FRIEND KIFEAS

Indeed...Indians in America feel Indian but American Indian...
And Australian Aboriginees feel like Australian Aboriginees...

So why can't the long long term (thousands of years) residents of Cyprus of Greek origin be Greek Cypriots, and those who lived in Cyprus for hundreds of years be Turkish Cypriots. And what is wrong with some of them wanting to be just plain Cypriots, given our tragic and mindless recent history????

And here is another Greek Cypriot who agrees with Bir , a Turkish Cypriot , that we are predominantly Cypriots . In Cyprus I'm often confused for a Kalamaras , in view of my accent , I covered this in a much earlier post. I coorect not by saying I'm a Geek Cypriot but , as any Cypriot would say , No , Re I'm Kipreos. What is the matter with these dick heads with their faces up in their "motherland's " arse. Are they not proud of their young nation and its' identity. Cyprus as an independent country has been in existence for less than 50 years , if we pursue the Greek / Turkish identity in another 500 years conflict and suffering will be smouldering away ready to erupt at any time. I'm a proud Cypriot first and foremost , I do not subscribe to the notion of Greek and Turkish ""speaking ""Cypriots but beleive that the overall emphasis and the one only uniting force is the Cypriot identity. Bir , Kikapu , Humanist , let me include our other friend Free Cyprus , and many more feel the same way. By persisting on promoting either the Greek or Turkish national identity only creates a deeper division and will lead to a permanent partition of our beloved Cyprus. The country belongs to us all because we are Cypriots. IMASTEN KIPREI OXI KALAMARADES.
