DO THE PEOPLE LIVING IN NORTH CYPRUS ALLOWED A CITIZENSHIP?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby TOTIS MILIOTIS » Thu May 17, 2007 4:49 pm

I Always wonder what is the Greek Cypriots reaction on this redigulus case where the Cyprus government is giving citizenship certificates to people who:

AA.Never pay taxes to the Cyprus authority
BB.They work and pay taxes under the control of the occupation foreign army.
CC:They register their cars, they are issuing birth certificates, from the inlegal occupation forces authorities.
DD.They are living in stolen properties of other citizens of the Repuplic
EE.They are cooperating with a foreign army which invated their country .

I am thinking that if a citizen of any state in the rest World acted as the people living in North Cyprus then their government would withdraw their political and constitutional rights.

THIS TO REMIND YOU ALL THE BASIC QUESTION OF THIS CHAT. AFTER 23 PAGES OR 86 RESPONCES I CAN NOT FIND ANY SPECIFIC REPLY TO THIS MAIN SUBJECT .

Look at the top who do they have? Somebodys' uncle Tasos! 40 senelik Yanni olurmu Kiani? I dont think so. If he goes that will be a good start, but it appears Somebodys' uncle Tpapadop might be standing again for presidency of the RoC. Fat chance for unification. With these people around there can be no trust. We have to learn to trust each other and stop bickering.

Aleykum Selam...

YES, EXACTLY!

You may agree with BK but at least you can see that they are clueless about certain things yet they try and force their opinions on TCs and go as far as blaming us and join the GCs in desecrating our whole existece!!!!!!!!

I'm starting to think Kikapu AND BK are some sort of GC propagandists either that or they are complete and utter idiots to not understand the position the TCs are in. I respect their "vision" (along with the rest of the "Cypriot Cypriots") and what they want to see happen in Cyprus, that is NOT what I am going against.

Idon't respect their way (the TCs that have been away from Cyprus for DECADES) of blaming the TCs for not wanting to live being ruled by GCs!!!! I DONT respect them blaming the TCs while COMPLETELY ignoring the GC&RoCs faults...and I mean COMPLETELY, so much that it actually defies belief that these people are Turkish, because any Cypriot Turk would be able to understand that "just" joining the RoC IS NOT AN OPTION and understand WHY!!!

Christ almighty!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I find myself shaking when I read some of their posts, they are so arrogant like they know what they're talking about when they haven't even been to Cyprus for decades!!!!!

They can talk and say what they want but from time they start blaming TCs and actually suggest we should just pack up to go live in RoC....I mean come on, how clueless can someone be on Cyprus? After being at war for 40 years they expect us to give up and go be ruled by the people we've been at war with....Get Real!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (no not you!)

Totis
We have more "constitutional rights" than just the citizenship in Cyprus...we will get those also in time..
Your leaders know that better so they dont mind giving the citizenship to look like nice guys to the rest of the world.. ..
Go back and read some more history books before you come here and ask stupid questions..

Miliotis, to solve your above issues, I advice you to send an e-mail to the president of the RoC, and I can assure that if they do not classify your inquiries as stupid ones, you will get a reply!

If you do not like the reply you will be given, you can always come here and run as candidate in the next presidential elections, so that you change the above regulations and wave all the RoC citizenships that the TCs living in the north have!

The difference is my friend...we have not moved to another country as in the example you give...we are still in Cyprus and we have as much right to be here as anyone else...Had your leadership not been so stupid as to try steal our rights we wouldnt have been in this mess...

Have you ever thought about how the GC "RoC" would continue to claim being the sole representation of all Cypriots?? These fundamental rights are made available to all those you claim to represent, try denying them and also accept the back lash from the international arena for not treating all the people you cliam to reprsent equally. The choice is yours, Im sure the benefits far outwiegh the costs or GCs woudl have ditched this approach many moons ago.

And prove that you are absolute right Kifeas is the fact that the present policy of good guys convisted no one in the int community and the invators are still there. 40 years you are trying to play the blinds that Zurich is still there and is valid - in practice is valid only in your minds and as an excuss for 5 families in free Cyprus to govern the place, acting and do all necessary in order the situation to remain as it is. You know the families are very well established despite who is the president - they just keep turn between them.

If you go to a street ENDING TO A WALL 100 hundred times then may be is better to change direction.

What we are succeeding presenly is to wait some 10-20 years more until all Greek Cypriots be convisted to think like you and then the TAKSIM will be accepted easier and at same time the 5 families will continue to run the half Cyprus

The very fact that you need Turkey's military might to hang on this "existence" is proof that there is something wrong T_C.

Turkey gives you the false impression that all is ok, you're not hurting anyone, and that you deserve to have this. Turkey has over the decades CONDITIONED you to believe that this "arrangement" is fair and square when in fact nothing could be further from the truth.

I'm starting to think Kikapu AND BK are some sort of GC propagandists either that or they are complete and utter idiots to not understand the position the TCs are in.

What position are the TC's in? I'm interested to hear your evaluation of this.

I respect their "vision" (along with the rest of the "Cypriot Cypriots") and what they want to see happen in Cyprus, that is NOT what I am going against.

Cypriot Cypriots! You may have coined a new phrase there T_C! :)

Feel free to explain why it is not an option so we can get to the bottom of the REAL reasons.

Christ almighty!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I find myself shaking when I read some of their posts, they are so arrogant like they know what they're talking about when they haven't even been to Cyprus for decades!!!!!

You are angry because they "get in your way" of achieving your goal which unfortunately violates the rights of others.

Let's suppose for a moment that Turkey is politically forced to abandon Cyprus by the EU or somebody. What would your plans then be T_C? Would you still have the same opinions? I wonder.

Why am I asking you this? because it sheds light as to the REAL reasons why you are feeling this way right now. Unfortunately people tend to turn a blind eye to law when they think they can get away with it.
