Who ordered the storm?

Postby skyvet » Fri May 11, 2007 7:31 am

Is everyone suffering the effects of last nights storm? Here in Oroklini we have trees and electricity pylons down, and our (once beautiful) garden is a total wreck! Many neighbours have suffered the same level of damage. According to the weather forecast, this is going to last another 24 - 36 hours - good luck everyone!

I must admit I was sceptical when I read my own forecasts earlier this week, but it seems they were more or less right! Although rain should continue intermittently for another day, it seems the worst is over. http://www.cypenv.org/wxfcast/forecast.php

We've got some pretty horrible weather at the mo, but not as bad as you lot. I hope everyone is safe and well. You can replace possessions, but not humans.

Luv n stuff

Indeed…

Worse still, my car has more sand on it now than it did when I took it to the ‘wash on Tuesday… :(

Where did all that come from? :?

Driving down Dhekelia rd this morning, I saw 2 caravans blown over. One of them if I remember rightly was on the beach a few days ago yet today, it was blown to the side of the rd with the roof ripped off. Also on its side with the roof blown off was the lokoumades van. Was gutted when I saw that. Saw a guy in a twin cab truck parked next to it, with his head in his hands, just staring at it. I'm assuming it was his. Saw one restaurant window smashed, heavy signs fallen off buildings etc.
