I'm glad you told me before it was too late. I mean, when we finally arrange to have a beer together in the near future, and we arrange to meet at the pub, I would have expected some one like Arnold Schwarzenegger to walk in, but instead, it would have been some one like Danny De Vito.

Miltiades,

I just realised that the last film you watched was "Ben Hur" in 1964. In order to get the joke, you will need to see the film "Twins".

( In fact it was in 1963 when I first met my future wife , but at the time I was dating three other girls so I ended up going to see Ben Hour 4 times in all. Since then I have not visited a cinema.

I have seen the twins on tv very funny , I didn't see all of it , you see by the time I get to the last glass of red I fall asleep.

Seriously though Kikapu , I'm addicted to red wine to the extend that even my 3 and a half year old grand daughter calls me Pappou Krasi ,( Grandad Wine )and when out with mummy shopping she points at wine bottles and shouts out Pappou . , Pappou !!

I didn't realise how close I was to the truth. I mean, all signs pointed to it but a confession is a start.

Maybe you started watching "Ben Hur" in 1963 with the first girlfriend, and finished watching it in 1964 with the last girlfriend.

Are you sure your sweet grand daughter is not calling you "Grandad Vino" as in drunken sailor.

Nice one Zan , but here are some philosophical points to ponder over.
I love work , doesn't make a workaholic , I love all children , doesn't make me a pedophile , I love good food doesn't make me obese and I love red wine , it doesn't make me an alcoholic. I left sex out since this is a family forum !!!!! Take it from me though , not literally of course , I'm good at loving too and I love my Cypriot brothers and sisters , yes Zan the T/Cs mate , hard to believe , well you should try it sometimes , imagine , just as I do sometimes , that you are one of those 200 thousand Cypriots whose ancestral land is sold off to foreign investors.
Imagine that you are one of those T/Cs who had to run for their lives way back in early 60s. Bir did , and so did Kikapu , and so did my 77 year old mate from Kalavasos , Mehmet WHO HAS GROWN IN STATURE JUST AS NELSON MANDELA DID AND FORGAVE HIS TORMENTORS FOR THE SAKE OF PEACE. Are you listening Zan .
I doubt very much , you , perhaps you say to your self that these are the words of a drunken old man and how profoundly wrong you are.
Must finish now , a 2000 Pauillac , a Chateau Duhart- Milon of the Lafite family , and a Grand Cru Classe is beckoning for my attention .Cheers mate .

miltiades wrote:Since I discovered that my daughter found out that Miltiades is really her Dad , shes posted one or two posts under the name Bambam !!!, I decided to come clean and correct a few details about my self . Im not 6 Feet 3 " tall (1.90 mtr ) and weighing in at 16 stone as I posted when I was having an argument with VP , and Kifeas , and Piratis and Sotos and Get Real and Simon and AlexiSS AND muratanga and .... and .... but Im , or rather was , 5.8" (1.72mtr short )and weigh about 77 kg. .I don't have a beard and neither does my wife .
All else is true . I'm as passionate about Cyprus and our wonderful culture
G/C and T/C , as I'm for a good bottle of wine .

Ahh..the fear of exposure, that's when it all comes out...

I'd love to find out some more 'home truths' about Miltiades, if Bambam is up for it..or I don't know...maybe some pictures of Pappou krasi would be nice..I'm sure everyone would agree...

Weeell Hello everybody.
I am very new here and I am already having great fun reading these lines. Once I have sorted out who says what to who , who is not telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth and I find out what the hell is going on I will join in the affray. I suppose I will have lots of catching up to do. Now I know where Get Real is I am looking forward to joining in, but I have noticed that some of the contributors have no sense of humour. Hiding behind Aliases is easy, but sticking to your story (if not totally true )is indeed difficult. But I like it.

Come on karma...
What is 20 years more or less when you have something like the love of red wine in common...???
Well it looks like myself, karma, dear miltiades, and Kikapu(if I remember correctly) all worship the nectar of the Gods! As it should be...If we could get Natty and Lena mou and Pyros to join the club, that will be some backgammon competition!!!
