Just wondering if anybody out there knows anything about satellite internet?

Where I am living at the moment has no telephone lines and no idea when they will get them.

So I was just wondering how much it costs to have installed and how much it is per month? Is the service any good or should I just wait for a phone line to be connected?

I don't really know, but from what I've heard it is very expensive for the speed you get. How about 3G? Think they are available in Cyprus now and aren't too bad speedwise. Am sure I read about it somewhere saying it cost about £20 a month. As long as you can get a reception where you are then should be alright. Plus I'm sure they would have a device for desktops if you don't have a laptop (think you can buy adapters anyways). And if you do have a laptop then you can pretty much take it everywhere and have decent speed wherever there is coverage.
