The Presidential Undersecretary Rasit Pertev and the
Chief of the Diplomatic Bureau of the Greek Cypriot President Tasos Djonis met yesterday to continue the talks they have been holding within the framework of the 8-July Process.

Mr Pertev told the TAK News agency that a review of the current situation was made during the meeting, but, he stopped short to provide any other details about the meeting which took place at the UN headquarters in the buffer zone in Lefkosa and lasted nearly two hours.

The UN Secretary General’s Special Representatives for Cyprus – Chief of Mission Michael Moller was also present at the meeting.

The next meeting between the two senior aides is expected to be held in the coming 10 days.
