Our mother is the one who has given us birth.So how can we have another Motherland if we were born in Cyprus?..
I believe too that Cypriots are one people,one nation,divided by two artificial factors...Language and religion...Though even there we have common aspects...Lol Cypriot Turkish is spoken much more like Cypriot Greek than mainland Turkish,with many words in common, some coming from Latin as well...
But how I feel or how you feel has very little to do with what is happening to our motherland.I am sure you don't need a history lesson from me,you know what happened in Cyprus in the near past and in the long past...We Cypriots were naive or silly enough to let the efforts of those who wanted to stop us from becoming a nation succeed.They used nationalism,religious bigotry, and the historical emnity between Turks and Greeks to divide us,to slaughter us,to rape us,to tear our identity apart,to send us into exile,made us lose our ancestral homes,lands,sense of belonging etc.
The burning question now is: What can we do to reverse this process,to regain our identity and our nationhood denied us??? You blame everyone for doing nothing to help our cause.I want to know what you think we should be doing...I want to know what you are prepared to do personally...I want to know what we on this Forum can do to advance the cause of our motherland.. Please stop insulting and annoying people with your little games,and tell us something constructive and realistic we can do to move things in the direction you want...Be specific...Be clear...Talk openly from the heart...and try again to put some punctuation in your posts...
