The school needs donations of 2 basic working computers, toys (good condition please), and ANY other items that would help the school...

Forgive my ignorance, but if parents pay for their children to go to this school, why doesn't the school set aside some funds for these things?

Andri...I went through that page and I saw that parents have to pay a big amount for that school...By saying that is a big amount is for Paphos because I know that the nursery schools in Paphos have set for fees the lowest amount around Cyprus...I dont agree completely with that school because I know that they can get money from government for that reason...and they dont support the inclusion which I strongly support.

BUT schools (especially nursery schools) usually do that for recycle purpose...lots of the toys that parents usually through away can be used for good purpose in schools and as much toys a school has is the best...because children get bored easily...so you have to keep the toys somewhere and change them every now and then. Also toys like guns, soldiers etc are forbidden for schools and dolls etc we usually avoid them in nursery schools and usually use educational toys which have to buy...most of the parents in Cyprus dont buy educational toy but anything they can offer is good! We have done that in a school that I used to work and toys like that we send them for charity purpose.

Cool ty Lena. It doesn't so much concern me I guess but I was just wondering why a school that charges kids , doesn't buy the equipment they need. Your explanation was to the satisfaction of my curiosity. Thanks!

Lena, you are totally wrong........the school supports inclusion 100%, I have been there and seen children with disablities playing alongside children non disabled children.

The school asked for donations because the people who set it up used all their own savings to help children with handicaps, which is rare in Cyprus. I understand there is a high number of special qualified staff, to every 5 children, and the owners themselves are voluntary.

Perhaps you should get the facts before you start putting people down as greedy and expensive. I think the school is amazing and they have helped my child big time.

PS......donations always welcome whether you pay a fee or not in any school......Paphos International School hold fundraising days.....I rest my case
