Dear Forum,
I was thinking to open a business in Paphos, not a store but a service business. What is needed to do this? Do I need to own property or have a lot of money in the bank? Can I just open a license and operate from that? Can I sponsor a non-EU worker on a license?

It depends on what sort of business you want to do.
No you don't need to own a property here or have lots of money in the bank!
To employ a non-EU worker here, you will need to prove you cannot employ a local person for the job.
