Political Equality? This forum is the model for a solution!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Yeah magik, you do make sense. Actually, I don't think Piratis was ever extremist, I just thought his arguments/demands are somewhat 'unfeasible' (is there even such a word?).
I think that TCs are not likely to accept what he is proposing in the near future, and that is why I don't adopt his views. Because for me, it's more important to get together first, and work out the details later. I think the basis of the problem is not intercommunal conflict any more. It has been transformed into a problem of alienation between the communities. And it gets worse with time. So, I think the key is time, not fairness.

I agree that concessions need to be made in order for a solution to be achieved but they must be made on both parts. and im not saying this because i think the GC administration should not make any concessions but if the solution is not viewed as fair by everyone (or at least a majority - a word not many TCs like apparently) then an everlasting peaceful solution will not be achieved.

No one has problem with fairness but they dislike the way piratis reverts to name calling that engulfs the complete tc community and his inability to accept the crimes commited by his community without reverting his arguement to "but the turks done this that and the hokey pokey".

Elaborate? This is a light topic, diluting reality with a bit of fantasy, so to speak.

Brother,
Your problem is that you run out of arguments and you get pissed off.
As a matter of fact I have accepted the crimes of GCs during the 63-68 period numerous times. I have never denied them.

However, Turks have done to us 100 times worst crimes, and this is a simple fact.

The reason I remind you of this simple fact is that you want to use the events of 1963-68 to punish GCs again. If GCs need to be punished even more, then where is the 100 times heavier punishment for Turkey for her 100 times more crimes?

What I always say is that we should leave the past behind and move ahead in peace. However whenever you ask from us to accept to be punished even more, I have no other option than to remind you of some simple historic facts.

You open pandora's box and i replied to you but yet again we on this forum are TC and we have commited no crimes that need apology like turkey, for this apology you are looking for go on a turkish forum and ask them for it.

I can also remind you of historical facts.

Also where is this apology to TC you talk about, show me the proof.
