The Eastern Mediterranean University is hosting another international conference.
The Second Peace Journalism Conference under the theme of “Communication in Peace/Conflict in Communication” has started at the Eastern Mediterranean University’s Faculty of Communication.
The conference will continue until the 4th of May.
78 participants from 15 countries will participate in the two-day international conference and a total of 60 papers will be submitted to the conference.
Speaking to the BRT, the Dean of the Faculty of Communication Associate Professor Sevda Alankus said the main aim of the conference was to raise awareness on peace journalism.
Mrs Alankus said Peace Journalism was a method which was not only applicable in conflict zones but in peace conditions as well.
Meanwhile, the University will host another conference entitled ‘the Future of Cyprus Problem’ between the 7th and 8th of May.
The two day conference organized by the Cyprus Policy Centre will be attended by academicians and experts as well as Britain’s former Special Representative for Cyprus Lord David Hannay.
