RENEWING OUR WEDDING VOWS

Postby ANGELTRACEY » Tue May 01, 2007 10:28 am

Hi every one

We will be flying out to Paphos on 1st June to renew our wedding vows on 4th June which will be our 5th wedding nniversary. I managed to get the same chapel (Kefalos Beach Village) and the same time (17.15), but unfortunately not the same priest as I couldn't get her email addy, but we have a lovely priest called Harry who will be performing the service. I get to wear my wedding dress again (yippee!!) We managed to get a lovely looking villa near Psathi for a fantastic price. We are bringing 2 of our friends who are Cyprus virgins!?! and will be dragging them round everywhere. Don't think I will brave the Akamas again as I have a dodgy back and neck and couldn't take the pounding!! But really want to go back to Adonis falls (but not thru the Akamas).
Can't wait to see the friends we made out there.
Have heard that the Arithea restaurant is now closed. Is this true? What's happened to George the owner? Have tried emailing him as we know he loves Jack Daniels and were going to bring some out for him.
Really can't wait!!! Couting down every day now and really annoying the girls in the office lol!
Luv T...xxx

Hi Niki
These are close friends who we hope will decide to get married once they see how magical and romantic it is there. We actually came back the year after our wedding, just the 2 of us and had a fab time. We just want them to experience Cyprus.
Will have no kids with us (my son is actually 19, so doesn't really come into the equation), hubby has 2 boys 9 and 7 and our friends have a few ranging from 5 to 16, so adults only lol!!

Sounds great - can't remember what it's like not to have kids around. Being spontaneous!!! Luxury. :D

Lovely idea, we don’t have this kind of traditions in Cyprus but I think is lovely after all this years to tell to your partner that you really love him/her and that you are still devoted to him/her.

Since you love Akamas, nature and water falls I will suggest you to try Kalidonia falls where is near Platres. I love it. You have to go through a food path all the way down or up (there are 2 ways to go there) I prefer the way down which is longer and more beautiful.

Just a quick and perhaps naive question AngelTracey, does your husband have to buy you a ring again?

You must be one hell of a woman ANGELTRACEY. Most women would not dare and take the chance of asking a man to say his vows again.

I hope you have a great time.
