Abdullah Gul : the beginning of the end?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Denktash was also a master of this kind of policy and he even went a step further, planting bombs on TC property himself in order to streghten his arguments even more.

I am getting fed up with having to explain and dissect my own posts when I take great care, in nearly every post, to point my finger at specific targets. I am deliberate in my accusations against the RoC administration and any one that joins their ranks. If you see my posts as an attack on every GC that exists after such meticulous care then that is your problem and not mine. I was being sarcastic towards that excuse for a man and with hope upon hope I thought that most regular posters would understand. There is one point that I would like to make though and that is, when I point to these sort of people in a serious way it is because, and I have been consistent in this, these are the very people that will start anything in the way of trouble. There is more of this type in the RoC admin with your leader being one of them. The mob mentality will follow. You can see this post in two ways. One, and I am sure that you are going to pick this option, is that I am saying this to fool you. Two, which is actually true, is that I believe this to be the case. It is in your hands from there.

This is exactly what I mean when I say that I see extremists in both communities as the enemies of Cyprus. The sooner that people understand that it was not the ethnic backround difference that seperated Cyprus but rather the nationalism expressed by groups of thugs (be it eoka b or tmt) with the help of the "motherlands", the sooner these people will be isolated and not allowed to do the same again.

Zan, I am afraid that in many cases you have contributed to the growing of this extremism, either with your posts or with your guilty silence in the face of ultra nationalist turks or tcs that at times posted in this forum. I do not recall any time when you actually confronted turkish or tcs that have presented extreme and dangerous views.

I think it is clear that we agree on the first part of your post.

I have to divide the second part into two parts. In the first part I have to say to you that I have asked you, in particular, to notice with whom I am talking in the posts you have pointed out. I realise that you can accuse me of not being consistent with my thoughts but in the Cyprob I would act accordingly as to with whom I am dealing and not just in my words on the forum.

The second part I chose to deal with through PMs. I have to first state that not everything that these so-called nationalists have to say is wrong. We cannot condemn them outright without looking at what they are specifically saying. What I have done is to ask them to stop their damning of ALL GCs and everything they do. I have asked them to stop the swearing and the insults because this is taking away from what they are actually trying to say. Others have reacted differently than I did and that is fine by me.
