NAME ONE LEADER IN THE PAST HUNDRED YEARS

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Is every post you make designed to trap people so that you can come in and show every one what a clever chap you are? The problem is that your traps are visible from space.

As well you know there is only one Dalai Lama. There are 14 reincarnations.

Sahin Turk

I commend you for your choices. The question was asked of which leader has done the most good for his country and people. If you take these two points alone as the question asks, then Denktas has ensured that the Turkish Cypriot people have survived the onslaught that tried to silence them, if not wipe them out, and has ensured the continued existence of our country. The other two leaders as in Mustafa Kemal Attaturk and Dr Kucuk need no defending at all.

if you want to talk about numbers then heres something for you to think about....................................every 110 years every living person on this planet and animals a like die out...................soo every living person in the world today will be dead in 110 years time and as time goes on new generations are diluted blood becomes mixed do to travel occupation love and so forth.....................sooo what number of generations of cypriots are in cyprus now ?????????????????????????????????????

For starters your longevity theory is incorrect. Some animals like the giant Tortoise may live up to 150 years. Your second theory about blood getting diluted because of interracial couples is feeble because interracial couples are very few in number in comparison to the non-interracial.

Statements like "the Archbishop was a good man" or "the Pope is sick" or "the King will conquer" are Ok only AFTER the identity of the person has been established.

As for all the Dalai Lama's being the same person via reincarnations... good luck proving that.

I am Turk, born in Cyprus, to a family of Turks who has lived on our Island 100s of years. I don't use the term 'Cypriot' as I don't think it does much to describe anything more than, say "Londoner", "New Yorker", "Torontonian", "Sydney-sider", etc. does.

As for where I am, I'm a bit of wanderer ... so I get around. But seeing that we're all using the net, we can be pretty much be anywhere anytime

I respect all and can agree to disagree with people. We're here to exchange our ideas and learn from one another.

I chose Denktas as he has made some serious contributions Cyprus (more than one single people) and the broader Turkish nation. During Cyprus's colonial rule, he was a crown prosecutor so he served "God, King/Queen, and Country" by trying those who broke the law and a Turkish nationalist, he has contributed much to the Turkish people and advocated the defense of Cyprus's Turks.

What very many different looks of Cypriots? Cypriot faces are all very similar. I hope you're not confusing the influx of foreigners in the last decade with Cypriots.

So when you look at, say, the Chinese and see people that have the same hair and relative features you can claim the same for Europeans and Cypriots. They may have similarities but we have people of every different color hair you can think of. That is the main factor and proof of the mixture of people. How many genuine Chinese blondes have you seen. Any red head pure Indians or Pakistanis. How about an auburn haired Eskimo..................
