Everyone in the Nicosia metro is a bandwidth thief but most of them unknowingly!

Just to give you an idea a customer was complaining that he use to be able to access the internet in the past but lately he couldn't so I went over to investigate. I found an old Cyta modem there with the wireless feature disabled and only accessible via the modem's BIOS. I said to him "you never had a wireless network here!" and he goes "but I've been on the net wireless lots of times before"! I smiled and informed him that he was pinching someone else's bandwidth and he felt embarrassed so I explained how everyone is pinching bandwidth off everyone else and they don't even know it!. Nicosia is a big bandwidth brothel!

So it's not just their doors that Cypriots leave unlocked... I guess if people don't care enough to enable WPA, it should be considered as bandwidth "sharing" rather than "stealing"

I wish I was as lucky as you, tons of wireless networks in Athens but all locked...
