i agree with you we are cypriots and we speak turkish and greek and yes we do have assotiation with turkey and greece.............. and its this ..................we share their language even though we speak difrent dielect to them on the mainland i mean nowhere in the world is the word brrreeeeeeuuuuuuuuooooooooooooo is heard except from a cypriots be it turkish speaking or greek speaking..................secondon assotiation is music cypriots listen to greek and turkish music from the mainland and watch their t vs and becouse we dont have a true identy as one people of cyprus they assume they are greeks and turks and that their true identity and roots are from greece and turkey this it false education that corups the minds of yaungsters starting from school.
when a spanish song is ahit in the world people of south america all go and but it why becouse they speak spanish but that is far as it goes with their assotiation with spain. becouse spain invaded raped pillages south america they gave them spanish names they made them into catholics...........................show me one place in south america where they speak spanish and they have spanish flags flying along their national flags.............show me one country in south america that wants union with spain..............show me one country in south america that calls spain their motherland.............lol
this is an example. the distance between spain and south america is about 5 thousand miles... and you have 5 spoken languages that come from europe north america they speak english..................brazil........ portugese.........argentina panama cuba mexico and many other speak spanish. cannada fench and frenc new guine
and all these countrys never say their mother land is their spoken language only in cyorus this is to be found

free_cyprus...I have already enough to deal with the situation in Cyprus and my life...so I am not willing to solve Americans or Spanish problems with the language. Ok I agree that we have different dialect ... which my friend here make fun of me every time that someone from Cyprus ring me... but I dont deny that we do have roots from both, Greece and Turkey. Ok Cyprus didnt get the first citizen from Greece or Turkey as you said...but with the years and the mixed couples and the historical facts which you already know we create those roots from both of them.
