I'll put everything for you to read, in the next day or so Zan, so that you don't have to stay up all night, waiting for it.

Where did you go? What did you do most of the time? What was the circumstances that you mention???
Hi LENA,
Spent few day in Larnaca, few days in Nicosia, few days in Paphos, few days in Limassol, and few days in Agia Napa, as well as driving 1558 Kilometers through most parts of the RoC, including the Troodos forest and mountains.
A bit of everything ha!!! Excellent...Kikapu...you skipped a question. I thought you was TC ... why you didnt go to the north?
I wanted to go to the "TRNC" so that I could have seen how things are there, but every time I made inquiries regarding the military service, I received different information from individuals as well as from officials. I was even told, I could be kept there against my will, to complete my NS. I tried to get clearer answers even just before I went to Cyprus, but once again, got just another version. I'm not in the habit of putting my welfare in the hands of others, specially, where "Rule of Law" is not equal to each person. It is more like "who you know and who you blow" than who you are, that will get you what you want. I did not want to end up in a situation, where I'm regarded as a "citizen" of the "TRNC", a unrecognized State, where the British and the American ( my other Nationalities) embassies could not provide any assistance to me.
I could have taken a chance and gone there I suppose, and perhaps nothing bad would have happened. I choose not to take a chance.
Sotos wrote:Happy birthday Kikapu I don't think that with 40.000 Turkish soldiers they would really need you in the army but it does sound a great way to get 4000 pounds from TCs So every TC can just pay 4000 and not serve? If we had the same thing we wouldn't have an army
